Heiko Spallek, DMD, PhD
Heiko is Assistant Professor at the Center Center
for Dental Informatics, University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.
In addition, he is an affiliated faculty member at the Center for Biomedical
Informatics, University of Pittsburgh. He holds DMD and PhD degrees from
the Humboldt University Berlin (Charité). Recently, he graduated from Temple's
Master of Science in Business Administration program with a concentration
in Computer and Information Science at the Fox School of Business and Management.
Heiko lectures frequently at national and international meetings and has
published numerous articles on subjects related to the Internet and scientific
data exchange. As one of S3's principals he not only intimately understands
information technology, but also the business needs of companies. Heiko
co-authored the book "The Global Village of Dentistry.
Internet, Intranet, Online Services for Dental Professionals." by Schleyer
T, Spallek H, Spallek G which was published in 1998 by Quintessence Publishing
